Who they were

Nabor and Felix were martyred in Diocletian's persecution around 303. Their relics rest in Milan, where a church was built over their tomb, and St Ambrose praised their virtues. Later legends, without historical value, make them soldiers of Maximian condemned at Milan and beheaded at Lodi.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: they have been honoured as martyrs since the fourth century.

Why that counted as sanctity

Nabor and Felix gave their lives for Christ, and St Ambrose held them up as examples to his people.
