Who they were

At Orbe in Savoy, Blessed Louise, religious, who, daughter of Blessed Duke Amadeus, married Hugh, prince of Châlon, and at his death embraced in humility and faithfulness the rule of Saint Clare according to the reform of Saint Colette.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 24 July as a daughter of Duke Amadeus who, widowed, became a Poor Clare of the Colettine reform at Orbe.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
