Who they were

At Vercelli, Blessed Amadeus IX, Duke of Savoy, who, during his rule, favoured peace in every way and ceaselessly supported with material means and personal commitment the causes of the poor, widows and orphans.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 30 March as a Duke of Savoy who favoured peace and supported the poor, widows and orphans.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
