Who they were

At Avrillé near Angers in France, Blessed Pierre Frémond and five companions, martyrs, shot during the French Revolution for their fidelity to the Catholic Church.

Among those named is Blessed Catherine du Verdier de La Sorinière, sister of Marie-Louise.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 10 February among the companions of Pierre Frémond, shot at Avrillé for fidelity to the Church.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
