Wulmar
French abbot later canonised
Who they were
In the territory of Boulogne in France, Saint Wulmar, priest, who, a humble shepherd, having been given the chance to study and having reached the priestly ministry, withdrew to a hermitage following the customs of the ancient fathers and then founded, at Hautmont in France, among the woods of his homeland, two monasteries, one for men and the other for consecrated virgins.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 July as a shepherd who became a priest and hermit and founded two monasteries.
