Who they were
In the monastery of Hersfeld in Germany, the burial of Saint Witta or Albinus, first bishop of Büraburg, who, English by birth, was called with others by Saint Boniface and sent to Hesse to sow the seed of the word of God in that land.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 26 October as the English-born first bishop of Büraburg, sent by Boniface to preach in Hesse.
