Wandregisel
French saint
Feast: 22 July (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
In the monastery of Fontenelle in Neustria, in France, Saint Wandregisel, abbot, who, having left the court of King Dagobert, led the monastic life in various places and, raised to the priesthood by Saint Audoin of Rouen, founded and governed a monastery in the forest of Jumièges.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 22 July as an abbot who left King Dagobert's court for monastic life and founded a monastery in the forest of Jumièges.
