Visori d'A Buerda
Who they were
Saint Visorius was a hermit of Frankish origin who settled in the mountains of Sobrarbe around the year 1000 to devote himself to the contemplative life, and died on an unknown date at the hands of the Muslims of al-Andalus. Little is known of him, and his veneration was confined to Aragon and some places in the Hautes-Pyrénées department of France. There is no official record of his recognition or canonisation by the Catholic Church, although his popular canonisation is very old.
