Who they were

In the town of Motril near Granada on the Spanish coast, Blesseds Vicente Pinilla, of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, and Manuel Martín Sierra, priests and martyrs, who, dragged away from the church, were shot the day after the martyrdom of five other companions of theirs.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 26 July as a priest martyr dragged from the church at Motril and shot.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
