Ursus of Ravenna
bishop
Feast: 13 April (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
At Ravenna, Saint Ursus, bishop, who moved the episcopal see from Classe to this city and dedicated the cathedral church on Easter Day in honour of the Holy Anastasis; on the same day some years later he too passed to the glory of the resurrection.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 13 April as the bishop who moved the see from Classe to Ravenna and dedicated its cathedral on Easter Day.
