Who they were
In the Jura mountains near the river Duby in Swiss territory, Saint Ursicinus, who, a disciple of Saint Columbanus, first led a hermit's life in solitude and then, once discovered, drew many to this way of life.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 December as a disciple of Saint Columbanus who lived as a hermit in the Jura.
