Who they were

At Rieti, Blessed Thomas Bellacci of Florence, religious of the Order of Minors, who, having set out for the Holy Land and Ethiopia, suffered prison and torture for Christ at the hands of unbelievers and, finally returning to his homeland, rested in peace almost a hundred years old.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 31 October as a Franciscan who suffered prison and torture on mission and died at Rieti nearly a hundred years old.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
