Who they were
At Constantinople, Saint Theodosia, nun, who suffered martyrdom for having defended an ancient image of Christ that the emperor Leo the Isaurian had ordered removed from the Bronze Gate of his palace.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 18 July as a nun martyred for defending the image of Christ on the Bronze Gate against Leo the Isaurian.
