Theodofrid of Corbie
Feast: 9 October (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
St. Theodefrid, bishop of Amiens, was so splendidly endowed with high gifts of mind and heart, that at the instance of Queen Bathildis he was appointed first abbot of Corbie, which she had founded. He was a monk of Luxeuil at the time. Having ruled his abbey successfully several years he was promoted to the see of Amiens and died about 690.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A Benedictine Martyrology (1922) remembers him on 8 October.
