Who they were

The decree on martyrdom describes her as a professed religious of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born on 14 November 1890 at Cerecinos de Campos in the diocese of Zamora, who bound herself to God by simple vows on 29 November 1914 and by perpetual vows on 7 December 1918; in the world she was Dionisia Rodríguez Anta. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

Named in the decree on martyrdom among Manuela del Corazón de Jesús and twenty-two companions of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity killed in Spain in 1936.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
