Who they were

At Genazzano in Lazio, Blessed Stephen Bellesini, priest of the Order of Saint Augustine, who in an age of upheaval remained faithful to his Order in its hardships, devoting himself to the education of children, to preaching and to pastoral care.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 2 February as an Augustinian priest faithful to his Order in upheaval, devoted to teaching children, preaching and pastoral care.

The cause

Stephen Bellesini has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Augustinians: the cause of Blessed Stephen Bellesini.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
