Who they were
At Alexandria in Egypt, commemoration of Saint Serapion, martyr, who under the Emperor Decius was subjected to such cruel tortures that first all the joints of his limbs were broken and then he was thrown down from the upper floors of his house.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 February as a martyr of Alexandria cruelly tortured under Emperor Decius.
