Who they were

At Puebla de los Ángeles in Mexico, Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio, who, a shepherd, emigrated from Spain to Mexico, where he helped the poor with the many goods he had gathered by his work; then, twice widowed, he was received as a lay brother in the Order of Friars Minor and died almost a hundred years old.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 25 February as a Spanish emigrant to Mexico who helped the poor and became a Franciscan lay brother.

The cause

Sebastian de Aparicio has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Franciscans: Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
