Who they were

The decree on martyrdom records that he was born at Devesa de Curueño on 21 December 1907, made his religious profession in 1925 and was ordained priest in 1931, and served his community as teacher and as carer of the sick. He was killed at Calanda on 29 July 1936 and beatified on 11 March 2001 by Pope John Paul II.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree says he was a teacher and the carer of the sick in his community.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
