Santa Limbania
Feast: September (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
St. Limbania, nun and recluse at Genoa in Italy, was born on the island of Cyprus and became a nun at Genoa. After her virtue had been well tried, she was permitted to live as a recluse in a cell beneath the church, where she at first subsisted on bread and vegetables, but later received no nourishment but the Holy Eucharist. She was found dead with outstretched arms and kneeling, in the year 1294.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A Benedictine Martyrology (1922) remembers her on 6 September.
