Who they were
In Brittany, also in France, Saint Maudez, abbot, who led the monastic life on a deserted island and, a master of the spiritual life, counted many saints among his disciples.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 18 November as a Breton abbot who lived on a deserted island and had many saints among his disciples.
