Saint Concordia
Feast: 13 August (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Concordia appears in the acts of St Laurence, which Butler calls a very unreliable document. There she is the nurse of Hippolytus, the officer converted by Laurence in prison; when Hippolytus was condemned for burying the martyr, Concordia and nineteen others were beaten to death with leaded whips.
Butler regards this whole account of Hippolytus the soldier as a romance, distinct from the Roman priest Hippolytus whose feast falls on 13 August.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
Named in the legend of St Laurence as the nurse of St Hippolytus, martyred with him.
