Who they were

At Carthage, in present-day Tunisia, Saint Aurelius, bishop, who, a firm pillar of the Church, protected his faithful from pagan customs and placed the episcopal chair on the spot where the statue of the goddess of heaven had formerly stood.

The miracles

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 July as a bishop of Carthage who protected his people from pagan customs.
