Who they were

Roger Vallée was a seminarian of Sées, born at Mortagne-au-Perche on 13 May 1920 and baptised at once; the son of the parish sacristan, he entered the minor seminary in 1933 and the seminary of Sées in 1940, and from there was recruited for the compulsory labour service in 1943, reaching Gotha on 8 August of that year. Arrested by the Gestapo on 1 April 1944, he died at Mauthausen on 29 October 1944, aged 24. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV.

The miracles

The source does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

A seminarian taken from his studies to forced labour, he was arrested by the Gestapo and died at Mauthausen at 24.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
