Who they were
At Winchester in England, Blessed martyrs Roger Dickenson, priest, and Ralph Milner, a farmer and father of a family, poor and illiterate but firm in the faith, who under Queen Elizabeth I were captured together and put to death by the punishment of the gallows. With them is remembered Blessed Laurence Humphrey, a young man who, for having embraced the Catholic faith, died by hanging in the same place on a day that remains unknown.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 7 July as a priest captured with Ralph Milner and hanged at Winchester under Elizabeth I.
