Who they were
At London in England, Saint Margaret Ward, martyr, who, a married woman, was condemned to death under Queen Elizabeth I for having helped a priest, and received with a glad heart the martyrdom of hanging at Tyburn. The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 30 August as a Welsh layman hanged at Tyburn with Saint Margaret Ward for having given hospitality to priests.
