Who they were

The decree on martyrdom records that he was born at Aiguafreda on 7 March 1891, made his religious profession in 1908 and was ordained priest in 1915, and worked with ardour at the education of the young. He was killed at El Morrot near Barcelona on 21 August 1936 and beatified on 11 March 2001 by Pope John Paul II.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree says he worked with ardour as an educator of the young and showed great apostolic energy.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
