Who they were

At Bilbao in Gascony in Spain, Blessed Rafaela Ybarra de Vilallonga, who, a mother of seven children, with her husband's consent took religious vows and founded the Institute of the Sisters of the Guardian Angels to protect young girls and guide them on the way of the Lord's commandments.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 23 February as a mother of seven who founded the Sisters of the Guardian Angels to protect young girls.

The cause

Rafaela Ybarra de Vilallonga has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Sisters of the Guardian Angels: Blessed Rafaela Ybarra.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
