Who they were

Rachelina Ambrosini was born on 2 July 1925 at Passo di Venticano, near Avellino, Italy, and learned a deep love of the Virgin Mary and the Rosary from her mother. A gifted pupil, she studied at Bari from 1936 and then in Rome, where she lodged with the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart.

She was known for her kindness to poorer companions and her readiness to serve. On Ash Wednesday, 26 February 1941, she was taken to hospital with sudden meningitis, received the sacraments, and died in Rome on 10 March 1941 in her sixteenth year.

The miracles

The Church has not yet approved a miracle in this cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

An Italian teenager whose short life of prayer and charity was declared heroic.

The cause

Rachelina Ambrosini has been declared Venerable; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Catholic Action saints foundation: Venerable Rachelina Ambrosini.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
