Pinytus
Bishop of Cnossus
Feast: 10 October (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Commemoration of Saint Pinytus, bishop of Knossos on the island of Crete, who flourished under the emperors Marcus Antoninus Verus and Lucius Aurelius Commodus and by his writings provided greatly for the faith and spiritual growth of the flock entrusted to him.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 October as a bishop of Knossos in Crete whose writings nourished the faith of his flock.
