Who they were

At Poitiers in Aquitaine, in France, Saint Peter, bishop, who favoured the birth of the Order of Fontevrault and, unjustly removed from his see, died in exile at Chauvigny.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 4 April as a bishop of Poitiers who favoured the birth of the Order of Fontevrault and died in exile at Chauvigny.
