Who they were
On the island of Noirmoutier, also in Aquitaine, Saint Philibert, abbot, who, brought up at the court of King Dagobert and becoming a monk while still an adolescent, founded and governed first the monastery of Jumièges and then that of Noirmoutier.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 August as the abbot who founded Jumièges and Noirmoutier.
