Who they were

Born on 18 April 1914, he made his solemn profession in 1935, received the minor orders a few days before he was killed, and was studying theology. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI with Eusebio del Niño Jesús (in the world Ovidio Fernández Arenillas) and 15 companions of the Order of Discalced Carmelites.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The decree on martyrdom lists him among the Discalced Carmelites killed in the 1936 persecution in Spain.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
