Who they were

A priest of the Congregation of the Passion, born on 19 May 1907 at Alba de los Cardaños in the diocese of Palencia, professed on 23 October 1923 and ordained on 19 June 1932; he joined the Daimiel community in December 1935. He was shot at the railway station of Urda in the province of Toledo on 25 July 1936 with two companions of his congregation. He was beatified on 1 October 1989 by John Paul II, among Nicéforo Díez Tejerina and twenty-five companions of the Congregation of the Passion.

The miracles

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology names him among the Passionist martyrs of Spain.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
