Who they were
Ovidio Bravo Porras was born at Fuente Andrino on 29 April 1908 and made his first temporary vows in 1935. He was killed in 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him on 18 June 2022.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
He was put to death in 1936 in the persecution in Spain, and the Church recognised his death as martyrdom.
