Who they were

At Savona, Blessed Ottaviano, bishop and brother of Pope Callixtus II, who, both in the cloister and in the bishop's chair, devoted himself to serving God and his brethren.

The miracles

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 6 August as a bishop of Savona, brother of Pope Callixtus II, who served God and his brethren in the cloister and as bishop.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
