Narcissus of Jerusalem
Patriarch of Jerusalem, saint
Feast: 29 October (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Commemoration of Saint Narcissus, bishop of Jerusalem, exemplary in holiness, patience and faith, who, in full agreement with Pope Saint Victor on the date of the celebration of Christian Easter, affirmed that the mystery of the Lord's Resurrection could only be celebrated on a Sunday, and at the venerable age of one hundred and sixteen passed happily to the Lord.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 29 October as a bishop of Jerusalem who upheld Sunday Easter and died aged one hundred and sixteen.
