Who they were
In the mountains of Sinai, Saint Moses, who first led a solitary life in a hermitage, then, ordained bishop at the request of Mavia, queen of the Saracens, brought peace to very fierce peoples, keeping the life of the Christians unharmed.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 7 February as a hermit of Sinai made bishop at the request of the Saracen queen Mavia.
