Michomer
Feast: 30 April (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Michomer (also called Micomero) was born in Ireland to Pelagian parents. Pelagianism was a heresy that denied the need for divine grace for salvation. He was converted by Saint Germanus of Auxerre, whose reputation for holiness reached even Ireland, and became his devoted disciple and confessor.
According to an ancient legend, after Michomer's death at Tonnerre in Burgundy around 440, Germanus went to his tomb, lifted the covering stone and briefly brought him back to life to speak with him once more. He was venerated locally, with his feast kept on 30 April.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
Irish-born disciple and confessor of Saint Germanus of Auxerre, who converted him from a Pelagian family; feast 30 April.
