Who they were
Near Barcelona, also in Spain, Blessed Mercedes Prat, virgin of the Society of Saint Teresa of Jesus and martyr, who in the same persecution suffered martyrdom because she was a religious.

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 24 July as a Teresian sister martyred near Barcelona because she was a religious.
