Who they were

At Nagasaki in Japan, Blessed Sebastian Kimura, of the Society of Jesus, and Francis Morales, of the Order of Preachers, priests, and fifty companions, martyrs, who, priests, religious, married couples, young people, catechists, widows and children, died for Christ on a hill before a great crowd amid cruel tortures.

Among those named is Blessed Mary, wife of Anthony the Korean.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 10 September among the fifty-two who died for Christ on a hill at Nagasaki, before a great crowd and amid cruel tortures.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
