Who they were

The Roman Martyrology for 12 July names her among the blessed virgins and martyrs put to death at Orange in France during the French Revolution, giving her name in the world as Marguerite Éléonore de Justamond. The Acta Apostolicae Sedis record that Pope Pius XI beatified the thirty-two women killed at Orange in July 1794 on 10 May 1925.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

She was put to death at Orange during the French Revolution in hatred of the faith.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
