Who they were

At Avrillé near Angers in France, the passion of Blessed Marie-Anne Vaillot and forty-six companions, martyrs, who, in the time of the Terror during the French Revolution, won the crown of martyrdom.

Among those named is Blessed Marie Anne Pichery, a widow.

The miracles

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 1 February among the martyrs of Avrillé in the Terror of the French Revolution.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
