Who they were
Maria Scrilli was born at Montevarchi, Arezzo, on 15 May 1825, the second daughter of an influential family that had hoped for a son; her mother's disappointment and coldness marked her deeply.

The cause
Maria Teresa Scrilli has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Carmelite Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel: Blessed Maria Teresa Scrilli.
