Who they were
María Josefa Rodríguez Xuárez de la Guardia, in religion María Rocío de Jesús Crucificado, was a professed sister of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Love of God; she was born at Colmenar, Spain, on 16 May 1923 and died in Rome on 30 March 1956. Pope Francis recognised her heroic virtue on 7 February 2014.
