Who they were

Maria Sagheddu was born on 17 March 1914 at Dorgali, on the east coast of Sardinia, daughter of a shepherd, in a large family of modest comfort.

A Trappist nun, in all simplicity she offered her life for the unity of Christians, and died at twenty-five.

The miracles

The Dicastery's biography does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

A young Trappist who offered her life for the unity of Christians.

The cause

Maria Gabriella Sagheddu has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Trappists of Vitorchiano: Blessed Maria Gabriella Sagheddu.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
