Who they were

Caterina Tramazzoli, in religion Maria Eletta di Gesù, was a professed religious of the Order of Discalced Carmelite Nuns; she was born in Terni, Italy, on 28 January 1605 and died in Prague (today Czech Republic) on 11 January 1663. Pope Leo XIV recognised her heroic virtue on 27 April 2026.

The Church has not yet approved a miracle in this cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Church recognised her heroic virtue in 2026.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
