Who they were
Maria Giovanna Wilson, in religion Maria di San Francesco, founded the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Victories; she was born at Hurryhur (Harihar), India, on 3 October 1840 and died at Câmara de Lobos, Portugal, on 18 October 1916. Pope Francis recognised her heroic virtue on 9 October 2013.
