Who they were

María del Carmen González Ramos was born at Antequera, Málaga, on 30 June 1834, sixth of nine children of a Christian family, and was loved from childhood for her goodness, kindness and lively intelligence.

As Mother Carmen of the Child Jesus she founded the Franciscan Tertiary Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

The miracles

The Dicastery's biography does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

A kind-hearted woman of Antequera who founded Franciscan sisters devoted to the Sacred Hearts.

The cause

María del Carmen González Ramos has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts: the beatification of Mother Carmen.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
