Who they were

María Antonia Bandrés y Elósegui was born at Tolosa, Guipúzcoa, on 6 May 1898, the second of fifteen children of a lawyer. Frail but very sensitive, she went from childhood to the school of the Daughters of Jesus.

She joined the Daughters of Jesus and died at Salamanca on 27 April 1919, a year after her profession, serene even in desolation.

The miracles

The Dicastery's biography does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

A young sister who stayed serene in desolation and gave God her short life.

The cause

María Antonia Bandrés y Elósegui has been beatified; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: Daughters of Jesus: Blessed Maria Antonia Bandres.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
